'tis the season to be jolly.

Well, as they all say, its about time to update before the blog starts getting cobwebs and collects dust. The holidays have been pretty fulfilling for the past few days and it's hard to believe there's only one more week before school starts again. 2 weeks in the Dec period just makes you wish you were back in sec school to enjoy the 2 month holiday all the uniformed students get.

Camp Majesty

And what can i say besides the fact that the camp was a blast. Thank God for a committee so committed (get it get it??) to making this camp a success and an enjoyable one for the campers. Teamwork makes the dream work. The games were great, worship was awesome (although i only got to sit on the throne all way through), sermons were pinpoint, special night was hilarious and of course, the toilets were incomparable in cleanliness. hahahahaha.

4 days with especially young people (the youths these year consisted of really young people) brings you back to the time when you were their age, when simple things could already satisfy you. And i'm glad i learnt to appreciate the little things in life again, simple friendships, small talks with some tidbits to complete it all. Just when you thought you couldn't wait to grow up, you realise you want to go back to the stress of picking your secondary school.

Of course, not forgetting, "Glory to God".

And so, after we brought everything back to church and packed up when we broke camp, i headed straight for home to get some rest. When my head hit the pillow, slumber land took over. The whole of next day was not wasted but rather put into good use to get more rest. hahaha. The night was used for writing of Christmas cards and lem staying over. It's always difficult to come up with a list of who to write to when "the season to be jolly" is around. Just when you realise you forget someone, the person smiles and passes you a card. I'm going to go through my phonebook again and make sure that doesn't happen.

I haven't gotten myself to believe that Christmas is coming, in fact just 4 days away. More than celebrating the festivities, its time to remember again that Jesus was born into this world and that's why Christmas is celebrated. The 3 wisemen probably started on the gift sharing tradition that we have today. hahaha.

"Hungry" event

Saturday was an early day yet again with the church people. Split into teams, we went around Singapore to eat the most popular foods. Makes me realise that Singapore has the best food in the world and why i would suffer if i studied overseas. hahaha. Laksa, Hokkien Mee, Chwee Kueh, Pau.....Mmmmmm. The group of people were real fun and we ended up with the 2nd prize, although the feast was actually a good enough of a prize for me.

And finally, today! The big day of the skit where i struggled to remember my lines just the night before and changed a whole scene cause i forgot my lines. But it ended well and that's all that matters. hahahaha. I do hope the kids enjoyed the skit, cause it really wasn't easy to put on the whole costume......

I told you it wasn't easy.

Well, i guess that's about it. I'm off to Cameron with 5 other families and my own to celebrate Christmas in about 2 hours, at 3am. Whoopee. I'd like to think of it as a mini church camp, like eunice puts it. hahaha. When i'm back that would mean just one more day till the holidays end. Dang. Time to enjoy!!

Till then.
