First 3 letters of mar-cus shout mar-riage!

The recent nights have been thankfully slotted in with half hour jogs from an unknown source of motivation. However though, i vow never to stay up too late again as my stomach doesn't respond too well to such late hours. I had just gobbled down a packet of instant bee hoon and the guilt, just like the motivation but stronger, is constantly crashing down from an unknown source. Nevertheless, that bowl of bee hoon tasted really really good, i guess it's the forbidden fruit theory.

So, Sat was the big day for the wedding. And i must say, that to watch your friends, or possibly people you know personally getting married is something so different. Something tugged at my heart while they walked down the isle together, and not because i was dismayed i didn't win the bride's heart (never had the intention), but rather, it was a happy tug, that they were willing to put their lives together. As i watched, i knew this wasn't one of those cases where the word marriage was misused, which is ever so common nowadays. And that makes marriage beautiful.

Matthew 19:4-6
“Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”

Back in the day, when i was young, naive, stupid, childish, (and every other word similar to the meanings), i remember making a statement something like this- "I never want to get married", and i could still remember saying it as i was on my way home at the corridor. Besides the risk of loneliness, higher chance of mid-life crisis and not having any kids to take care of me when i'm old, i still couldn't believe i would make such a statement to give up something so special.

A few reasons i learnt from Saturday spurring me on for marriage:

1) I want cute flowergirls and pageboys to help me out.

2) I definitely have to know what it feels like to see this: My nearly wife and father-in-law walking down the isle. I bet it's indescribable.

3) And of course to hold her hand in front of all the people that matter while she glimmers in white.
Photobucket

4) I also want to rely on world class musicians for worship (HAHA) as i thank God for the best/worst years of my life ahead.
Photobucket

5) Then at dinner, i want to be able to give out lovely gifts to the guests.
Photobucket

6) As they sit down on really nice tables to share the joy with me.
Photobucket

7) Surely the guests must enjoy their dinner with really really nice music..hahaha.
Photobucket

8) Then i want to exit from the back with this smile on my face. Yes, this priceless smile of happiness. Or maybe cheeky-ness.
Photobucket

9) More importantly, to wait for this moment of the night. hahahaha.
Photobucket

10) Finally, to know i have friends that are genuinely happy for me.
Photobucket

11) And to grab a really nice picture with them.
Photobucket

12) Then when the day's over, to proceed back to the hotel room when everything ends, because i'll be really really really tired.

DISCLAIMER: No picture.

And just a few more pictures from that day, hahaha.

Oh yes, I RECEIVED A QUOTATION REGARDING THE DRUMSET, and i'm smiling.

Till then.
