Ox-picious New Year

Oranges, angbao, cards, mahjong, bah kwa...and of course hot cheongsam girls. hahaha. Who's to say chinese new year sucks with all these. Everyone's probably into that festive mood now all ready to paste their faces with smiles (whether genuine or just for the red packets) for the visitations and hopefully coming back to find their pockets ready to tackle the recession. I for once am not feeling too much of it despite all the talk. I place full blame on school for that. And also due to the fact that the polo i wanted ran out of size (I actually needed a smaller size).

The past week has been quite a bother with presentations and deadlines to meet up with. The ever typical week where it isn't something out of the usual to see students at school at 10pm rushing to keep up. Most of the projects and presentations have been cleared, which is a good thing. Only that our tests begin next week, right after Chinese New Year. Damn.

In any case, school doesn't really need to be talked about here does it. That would mean teachers, school, stress in the day and giving it the chance to ruin your life again at night.

Friday saw a few of us church people head down to the ultimate cliche place of Fish n co to celebrate Pris' 19th birthday. The whole stand up on the chair thing proved to be too much of a conformity, and so we made pris stand on her chair and sing her own birthday song. hahahahaha. A part of me hopes my birthday never comes sometimes.. In any case, Happy 19th Pris. I thank God for a friend like you, and i can't put it into words, just like how i said it this morning during service. hahaha.

HAPPY YOU WERE.

Sat was a long day down at church for 1030 musician prac, jg musician prac then jg service. Tiring but enriching. Rushed home right after service for reunion dinner with Dad's side of the family. Somehow, the reunion dinner this year was much quieter and had a smaller attendance, but still family nonetheless. A good dinner and a time of just catching up with each other, remembering the stupid things some of us did last time, and sometimes even now. hhaahhaa. I shall let the pictures finish this para.

Chinese New Year starts tomorrow, alright technically it has already begun. Bai nian to the parents first thing in the morning, hopefully this year strikes better returns. hahaha. Then off to see the relatives whom most i would walk pass and not realise. The only bad part would be the fact that i don't have any new clothes. Dang. Last min shopping really isn't the way to go.

Till then.
